The Ubicom Wireless Digital Photo Frame reference design connects to the Internet and personal computers using industry standard 802.11n and 802.11g. The user interface presents a seamless photo-sharing and viewing experience from a variety of local and connected media devices including the personal computer, digital camera flash memory cards, internal photo storage and Internet-based social networking sites. Enhanced interactivity, viewing of private and public content is achieved through API integration from popular Internet-based social networking and content portals including Facebook, FrameChannel ,Google Picasa, and Yahoo! Flickr.

The Digital Photo Frame reference design supports digital LCD panels from the top panel suppliers, internal photo storage using the lowest cost per bit MLC NAND flash, and the highest volume wireless modules for network connectivity, all available from multiple vendors. The powerful processing engine with enhanced DSP instructions quickly decodes, scales and color corrects JPEG photos with powerful transition effects.

The Digital Photo Frame is designed with extensive ease-of-use features in mind simplifying. Add the photo frame to the network with the push of a button using industry standard Wireless Protected Setup (WPS), link to online accounts, and drag and drop photos from your PC in your living room or halfway around the world.
