Management Team

Jon Gibbons joined Ubicom in October 2000. He is responsible for Ubicom's VLSI development. Mr. Gibbons has over 20 years of VLSI and hardware system development experience including 12 years of engineering management. During his tenure at Ubicom he led the development of the IP3000 and IP5000 family of processors. Prior to joining Ubicom, he was the director of workstation design at SGI where he led the development of MIPS- and Intel-based products. He was also involved in the design of NeXT Computer workstations and the Auspex NS 7000 NetServer.

Mr. Gibbons holds a BS in Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
