Wireless DLNA® audio adapter or speakers can be used to play music wirelessly from any DLNA Digital Media Server (DMS). While audio adapters can be used to connect audio out to an external amplifier or speakers, wireless DLNA speakers have speakers built in and can be used as PC speakers for your office or study, or a standalone media product for other parts of the house similar to iPod docks. The DLNA audio product acts as a DLNA Digital Media Renderer (DMR), to which music files can be pushed from any PC, NAS or other DMS using the PC or a standalone Digital Media Controller (DMA), such as Ubicom’s UbiPlayer application for the iPhone or iPod Touch. This enables users to wirelessly listen to any music they have stored digitally anywhere in the house.
