Over the last several years, VPNs have become the technology of choice for small offices seeking to provide secure connectivity to their remote workers. VPNs have also allowed secure access to home office networks from any remote location, an increasingly critical need as home office networks have evolved and become more complex. Ubicom’s network processors, with extensive support for encryption and authentication in their security engines, enable the development of high-performance SOHO VPN Routers with multiprotocol support including IPSec and SSL. The Ubicom SOHO VPN router solution, based on a commercial-grade, open-source Linux distribution, allows ODMs and OEMs to bring a product to market quickly and reduce development costs by eliminating the need to engage with software middleware vendors.
