Janice Roberts specializes in the field of communications and networking. She is particularly interested in the fast growing and global sector, including wireless infrastructure, services and applications, and is a passionate advocate of ubiquitous communications. Janice joined Mayfield from 3Com Corporation in June 2000, where she was senior vice president of business development as well as president of 3Com Ventures. At 3Com Ventures, her highly successful early-stage investment portfolio included Aether, Alteon WebSystems, Extreme Networks, Juniper Networks and OmniSky. During her tenure at 3Com, she also led 3Com's global marketing operations and a number of new business initiatives, including its highly successful Palm Computing subsidiary. Janice holds an honors degree in economics from the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
