Management Team

Darrell Burns joined Ubicom in August 2000. He is responsible for all of Ubicom's hardware and software design activity. Mr. Burns has more than 21 years of experience in the areas of VLSI and computer systems development, including 15 years in R&D management during which he led and shared in the development of several generations of Hewlett-Packard's PA-RISC computer family, including the PA-7200 processor chip and the HP9000/T500 multiprocessor server. Before joining Ubicom, Mr. Burns was vice president of engineering and general manager at ATI Research, responsible for ATI's integrated graphics solutions. Prior to its acquisition by ATI, he was vice president of engineering at Chromatic Research. He was previously with Hewlett-Packard, most recently as lab director, Systems Technology Division.

Mr. Burns holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of California at Davis and an MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley.
