Management Team

Ty Truong has more than 15 years of engineering and financial expertise with large Fortune 500 companies and startups. This diverse background has enabled him to successfully manage all of Ubicom's financial and accounting activities as the company's vice president of finance and corporate controller.

Prior to Ubicom, Mr. Truong was director of finance and corporate controller for ELetter, Inc., an Internet-based mailing and printing service. An early employee at ELetter, he successfully built the company's administrative infrastructure, hiring the accounting, human resources, and legal teams. Before that, he was the director of finance with S-VISION, a liquid-crystal-on-silicon microdisplay startup.

Mr. Truong has also held positions with industry-leading companies such as Tandem and IBM Corporation. As the manager of corporate finance for Tandem, he managed the company's due diligence team, and made recommendations related to company valuation and investment. He also held managerial positions in financial planning and analysis for Tandem's manufacturing division. In this capacity, he helped the division set fiscal and quarterly goals. While with IBM, he developed and maintained software that was used as an internal revenue reporting system for hundreds of sales representatives.

Mr. Truong holds a master's degree in finance from the University of California at Los Angeles, and a bachelor's degree in computer science from Rutgers University in New Jersey.
