Qualcomm Atheros’ Bluetooth portfolio includes a variety of standalone and combination solutions that were expressly designed for desktops and all-in-one computing platforms, including Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy and Bluetooth 3.0 High Speed products. Qualcomm Atheros’ Bluetooth solutions include the AR3011 and AR3012 standalone solutions, as well as the AR3011/9285 and AR3011/9287 solutions that combine Bluetooth with 1-stream and 2-stream 802.11n, respectively. Bluetooth 4.0

Our latest solutions support the Bluetooth 4.0 specification, which offers both high-speed and low-energy modes to expand the possibilities for personal area connectivity in desktop computers. It combines the simplicity and convenience of Bluetooth pairing with the speed and energy efficiency of Wi-Fi – leveraging Qualcomm Atheros’ high-performance 802.11a/g/n technologies to increase the speed of Bluetooth by more than 10 times over legacy Bluetooth solutions.

Bluetooth 3.0 + High-Speed

Our Bluetooth-based solutions support the Bluetooth 3.0 + High Speed specification to give users the simplicity of Bluetooth pairing combined with the speed and energy efficiency of 802.11. Qualcomm Atheros’ Bluetooth 3.0 solutions leverage the company’s high-performance 802.11a/g/n technologies to increase the speed of Bluetooth by more than 10 times over Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR.

Superior Coexistence

All of our Bluetooth solutions feature Universal Wireless Cooperation™, an advanced suite of mobile wireless coexistence mechanisms to ensure optimal performance of both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi when the technologies operate together. The solutions feature 2-, 3- and 4-wire Bluetooth coexistence protocols with advanced algorithms for predicting channel usage by the co-located WLAN transceiver in the same system.
