StreamEngine® Technology Logo Usage Guidelines

The following information addresses the correct treatment of Ubicom's StreamEngine® technology logo for use in advertising, technical communications, marketing collateral, and other printed, Web, or visual materials.

General Guidelines

The StreamEngine logo may only be used in connection with the promotion of the corresponding StreamEngine technology and not for other goods and/or services. Do not modify or recreate a StreamEngine logo under any circumstances. Always use the artwork provided by Ubicom, Inc.

The following trademark attribution must be used when featuring the StreamEngine logo:

Ubicom, StreamEngine and the StreamEngine logo are trademarks of Ubicom, Inc.

Follow the more detailed rules set forth in the section Trademark Usage Guidelines for StreamEngine when referenced in text.

The StreamEngine Logo

The StreamEngine logo consists of the name StreamEngine followed by the registered trademark symbol ®, and the words "by UBICOM" below it in a unified block.

There are two versions of the StreamEngine logo — color and black.

Sufficient Contrast Requirements

To be sure of optimal contrast on all backgrounds, the StreamEngine logo has a white holding shape around the logo. The examples below illustrate most case scenarios for the application of the StreamEngine logo.

Minimum Size and Staging Requirements

The StreamEngine logo is most effective when surrounded by as much open space as possible. A minimum area of unobstructed clear space must surround the logo in all situations. The clear space requirements represent an area equal to twice the width of the thin black border in the logo.

Clear space is defined as an area that is completely free of other objects or elements, including, but not limited to, type, border, edges, other logos, words, graphics, slogans, numbers, and design features, or symbols, company names, products, and/or services.

Minimum size requirements (width x height) for the StreamEngine logo are 124 x 72 pixels in for the Web, and 1.25 x 0.73 inches in print and other visual materials.

We have provided a color list below that will assist in the correct reproduction of the StreamEngine logo in the most commonly used media formats.

The type font is Bitstream Handel Gothic for the ® trademark after StreamEngine, and ITC Stone Sans Semi Bold for "by Ubicom" in the bottom bar. This information is provided if there is a need to produce a document to match the logo typeface; not to recreate the logo itself.

Preserving the Integrity of the Logo Design

The StreamEngine® technology logo is designed to "badge" the materials it is applied to. Authorized StreamEngine logo artwork in the form of a JPEG, GIF, or EPS file has a "built-in" white holding shape for use on color backgrounds. It is acceptable to place the logo on a white background, even though this border will in essence disappear. On darker backgrounds it will help the logo "pop."

Incorrect Usage

Always use the authorized electronic logo artwork provided by Ubicom.

  • Do not distort the StreamEngine logo in any way.
  • Do not create other versions of the StreamEngine logo.
  • Do not create spot color versions of the StreamEngine logo.
  • Do not create floating versions of the StreamEngine logo.
  • Do not alter the color of the StreamEngine logo.
  • Do not add elements to the StreamEngine logo.
  • Do not alter or remove the white text or the white holding shape.
  • Do not alter or remove the white holding shape.

Trademark Usage Guidelines for StreamEngine

The following information addresses the correct treatment of the StreamEngine logo and trademarks for use in advertising, technical communications, marketing collateral, and other printed, Web, or visual materials for StreamEngine technology.

  1. Ubicom's trademark is "StreamEngine." The "StreamEngine" trademark is one term with no spaces. The "StreamEngine" trademark should not be used in an abbreviated form.

    Right: "StreamEngine® technology"

    Right: "Ubicom's StreamEngine® technology"

    Right: "Ubicom® StreamEngine® technology"

    Wrong: Stream Engine® technology"

  2. In the title, in the first occurrence in text, and in other prominent instances, (i.e., in bold, in header or footer), always follow the "StreamEngine" mark with the registered trademark symbol ®.

    Right: "Ubicom's StreamEngine® technology delivers an enhanced online experience ..."

    Wrong: "Ubicom's StreamEngine technology® delivers an enhanced online experience ..."

  3. Follow the term "StreamEngine" with an appropriate generic term such as "technology."

  4. In each publication that uses the "StreamEngine" trademark, provide a trademark attribution that includes all Ubicom trademarks in that publication, material, or item. For example:

    Ubicom, the Ubicom logo, StreamEngine, and the StreamEngine logo are trademarks of Ubicom, Inc.

  5. You may not modify or recreate the "StreamEngine" trademark under any circumstances. You many not translate the trademark for non-English documents.
