Qualcomm® VIVE™ – It’s Wi with a lot more Fi

Like the air we breathe, most of us are completely dependent on Wi-Fi. To relieve network congestion VIVE technologies use the larger 5 GHz swath of the wireless spectrum, offering more channels to reduce interference, while allowing for faster media transmissions over wider channels. And although 802.11ac operates exclusively in the 5 GHz band, VIVE products also support previous standards to remain compatible with existing Wi-Fi devices in your home or office.

Qualcomm Atheros’ wireless solutions use Wi-Fi® Miracast™ to liberate video, presentations, photos and web based content from the small screen (on smartphones, tablets and notebooks) onto TVs and other large screens. Based on the industry's peer-to-peer standard, Miracast enables simple and secure connections directly between computers, projectors, and other Wi-Fi devices – instead of connecting through a router or access point.

Seamless Hotspot Connectivity

Qualcomm Atheros’ Wi-Fi networking and mobile solutions are also certified for the new Wi-Fi® Passpoint™ features, which make it easier for people to find and connect to Wi-Fi hotspots.
